Insta360 Luna Ultra

Insta360 Luna Ultra – Leica Dual-Lens 8K Gimbal Camera

The Insta360 Luna Ultra is a premium dual-lens gimbal camera designed for creators who want professional-quality video, powerful stabilization and flexible focal lengths in a compact camera.

Co-engineered with Leica, Luna Ultra combines a 1-inch 8K main camera with a dedicated telephoto camera, giving you a versatile setup for travel, vlogging, portraits, interviews, commercial content and cinematic filmmaking.

1-Inch 8K Leica Summicron Camera

The main camera features a 1-inch sensor paired with a 20mm-equivalent F1.8 Leica Summicron lens. The large sensor and wide aperture are designed to capture detailed footage with strong dynamic range and improved performance in challenging lighting conditions.

Luna Ultra supports up to 8K/30fps video and provides up to 14 stops of dynamic range.

Dedicated Telephoto Camera

Unlike many compact gimbal cameras, Luna Ultra also includes a dedicated telephoto system with a 1/1.3-inch sensor and F2.0 aperture.

The 60mm-equivalent telephoto lens is useful for portraits, close-up subjects and compressed cinematic compositions. Luna Ultra provides multiple focal-length options with up to 15× zoom, including up to 6× lossless zoom.

8K Video and 4K Slow Motion

Record high-resolution video at up to 8K/30fps for detailed cinematic footage. For action and slow-motion content, the camera supports 4K/120fps recording.

It also supports 1080p recording at up to 240fps, making it suitable for dramatic slow-motion effects.

3-Axis Mechanical Gimbal Stabilization

Luna Ultra combines a 3-axis mechanical gimbal with electronic stabilization to provide smooth footage while walking, travelling or moving the camera.

The gimbal offers a maximum control speed of 210°/s, allowing responsive camera movements and dynamic tracking shots.

Deep Track 5.0 AI Tracking

Deep Track 5.0 provides intelligent subject tracking to help keep people and other subjects properly framed.

Features include Auto Tracking, Active Zoom Tracking, Group Tracking and Smart Framing, making Luna Ultra particularly useful for solo creators and vloggers.

Detachable 2-Inch OLED Touchscreen

One of Luna Ultra’s standout features is its detachable 2-inch OLED touchscreen.

The screen can be separated from the main camera and used for remote monitoring and control, with HD image transmission of up to 20 metres under specified conditions. This is especially useful when recording yourself or positioning the camera away from you.

Professional Colour

For creators who want more control during editing, Luna Ultra supports 10-bit I-Log and Dolby Vision.

The camera records in H.265 with a maximum video bitrate of 120Mbps, providing a strong foundation for professional post-production workflows.

4K PureVideo for Low Light

The camera’s PureVideo mode uses Insta360’s processing system to improve low-light footage, supporting up to 4K/60fps.

This makes Luna Ultra suitable for evening city scenes, indoor content, events and other situations where available light is limited.

37MP Photos and 200MP Panoramas

Luna Ultra can capture up to 37MP UltraPhotos for detailed still images.

For landscapes and expansive scenes, the camera can create 200MP Scenic Panorama images with a resolution of up to 20224 × 10112 pixels.

47GB Built-In Storage

Luna Ultra comes with 47GB of internal storage, allowing you to start recording without immediately installing a memory card.

It also supports microSD cards up to 2TB, giving creators plenty of additional capacity for high-resolution 8K footage.

Up to 4 Hours of Battery Life

The main gimbal uses a 1550mAh battery, while the detachable touchscreen has its own 210mAh battery.

Under Insta360’s specified test conditions, Luna Ultra provides up to 240 minutes of runtime. The camera can also charge to 80% in approximately 23 minutes using a compatible 45W PD3.0 PPS charger.

Direct Wireless Microphone Connection

Luna Ultra supports direct wireless microphone connectivity with compatible Insta360 Mic Series transmitters, allowing up to two transmitters to be connected for dual-person recording.

Insta360 Luna Ultra Specifications

*Battery runtime is based on Insta360’s specified laboratory conditions and varies depending on shooting mode and usage.

What’s Included?

The standard Insta360 Luna Ultra package is the camera-focused package and should not be confused with the Creator Bundle. The Creator Bundle adds accessories such as the microphone transmitter, Wide-Angle Lens and Battery Handle.

For your WooCommerce catalogue, I recommend listing Insta360 Luna Ultra and Insta360 Luna Ultra Creator Bundle as separate products.
