Insta 360 X5 8k action camera

Insta360 X5 – Next-Generation 8K 360° Action Camera

Capture everything around you with the Insta360 X5, a flagship 360° action camera designed for adventure, travel, motorsports, vlogging and professional content creation.

The X5 combines dual 1/1.28-inch sensors, powerful Triple AI Chip processing and 8K 360° capture to produce detailed immersive footage while giving you the freedom to choose your framing after recording.

8K 360° Video

The Insta360 X5 records 8K 360° video at up to 30fps, providing high pixel density across the entire 360° image.

This is particularly useful when reframing 360° footage into conventional widescreen or vertical video because you can crop into the spherical recording while retaining more detail.

For smoother action, X5 supports 5.7K video up to 60fps and 4K 360° video up to 120fps.

Larger 1/1.28-Inch Sensors

The X5 uses dual 1/1.28-inch sensors, providing a significant imaging area for a compact 360° camera.

Combined with the Triple AI Chip system, the larger sensors help deliver improved detail, colour and low-light performance. Insta360 rates the camera for up to 13.5 stops of dynamic range.

360° PureVideo for Low Light

PureVideo mode uses advanced AI-powered processing to improve image quality in low-light environments.

The X5 can record 8K PureVideo at up to 30fps, making it suitable for night scenes, indoor recording, evening adventures and city footage.

Replaceable Lenses

One of the major advantages of the X5 is its replaceable lens design.

If a lens becomes damaged or scratched during an adventure, it can be replaced rather than requiring replacement of the entire camera. This makes the X5 particularly practical for action sports, travel and outdoor use.

FlowState Stabilization and 360° Horizon Lock

The X5 uses FlowState Stabilization to reduce camera shake and deliver smoother footage.

360° Horizon Lock keeps the horizon level even when the camera rotates, making it useful for cycling, skiing, motorcycling and other high-movement activities.

InstaFrame 2.0

With InstaFrame 2.0, you can create conventional flat videos from 360° footage.

The feature supports flat video recording up to 4K/30fps, while also allowing 360° recording at 5.7K+ for creators who want more flexibility during editing.

Single-Lens Shooting

The X5 can also be used as a conventional action camera.

Single-lens recording supports up to 4K/60fps, while FreeFrame Video gives you additional flexibility to choose your final aspect ratio during editing. Me Mode is also available for creator-focused shooting.

Up to 208 Minutes of Battery Life

The X5 features a 2400mAh battery.

Insta360 rates the camera for up to 93 minutes when recording 8K/30fps, while Endurance Mode can extend recording time to approximately 208 minutes at 5.7K/24fps under laboratory conditions.

The battery can reach approximately 80% in 20 minutes and 100% in around 35 minutes when using a compatible 30W USB-C PD charger under Insta360’s specified conditions.

Waterproof and Adventure Ready

The Insta360 X5 is waterproof to 15 metres without a dive case, making it suitable for swimming, rain, beach trips and many water-based activities.

Its operating temperature range is approximately -20°C to 40°C, making it suitable for a wide variety of outdoor environments.

Immersive 360° Photos

The X5 can capture 72MP 360° photos, giving you detailed panoramic images that can be reframed and shared from different viewing angles.
